With over 125 years of construction and development, Electric Power University (EPU) has trained numerous competent professionals and established itself as a leading institution in scientific research and technology development, particularly in the energy sector.
Derived from the desire for the innovation and development of Vietnam's electricity industry, in 1898, the Hanoi School of Practical Technology was established. The predecessor of EPU is an electrical engineering school, and after being separated and merged multiple times, in 2006, Electric Power University was officially founded on the basis of the College of Electric Power. It then claims itself as one of the most dominant public universities, subordinate to the Ministry of Industry and Trade in electrical engineering training in the North of Vietnam.
Regarding training activities, EPU currently offers 19 undergraduate programs, 7 doctoral programs, and 10 master's programs, with the enrollment of students up to over ten thousand.
Guided by the philosophy of "comprehensive education, strong foundations, and a sustainable future," and with the aim of becoming a leading applied university in Vietnam, we have established a comprehensive and autonomous model that integrates international education standards.
The continuous innovation in teaching methods of lectures has enabled students to achieve remarkable success in both national and international competitions. Students are equipped with a solid knowledge base and strong skills during the courses. As a consequence, 93% of graduates obtain high-paying employment soon after graduation. They are proactive, creative, and capable of meeting all the requirements of enterprises and employers, aligning with the core values of EPU, which are "Responsibility, Creativity, and Efficiency".
